About Rocky Chapel

CHURCH MISSION
As followers of Christ, our mission is to evangelize the lost through personal soul winning, visitation and preaching of the Word of God. To edify Believers through the systematic teaching of the Bible and to reach the masses through an energetic missionary program.

A BRIEF HISTORY
In the year of 1877, four individuals came together in Franklin County, North Carolina to organize a church. They adopted the name "Rocky Chapel" because of the rocky red mud soil. The first church originated from a log cabin.

Over the years, Rocky Chapel has made numerous improvements in its physical structure and in many other areas. Individual members and church ministries made concerted efforts to enhance the church welfare. Each decade, significant changes were realized.

Through the years, with the assistance of the Almighty God, the church has maintained a spirit of togetherness. In spite of the many global changes that are taking place, God's powers are still alive at Rocky Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
